Lion of Judah

Save the Date: Lion of Judah Luncheon – February 7, 2024

Minimum individual woman’s gift of $5,000 to Federation’s Annual Campaign

Roar with pride by becoming part of our powerful sisterhood of philanthropy and involvement. Join South Palm Beach County’s “Lions of Judah” community, one of the largest and most prestigious in the country.

With one of the largest number of ‘Lions’ in the nation, our Lion of Judah program attracts active women who are passionate about helping others and wish to be part of something extraordinary. An annual woman’s gift of $5,000 or more to the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s Annual Campaign opens the door to exclusive opportunities and events such the annual Lion of Judah Luncheon and the International Lion of Judah Conference. Once a Lion, you can choose to wear the internationally recognized Lion pin, which represents sisterhood and connectedness, philanthropy and power, Jewish values and social action. As a Lion, you have a unique opportunity to become intimately involved with your philanthropy, helping to influence the global agenda through a myriad of programs, events, gatherings, advocacy and leadership opportunities. For more information or to join our pride, contact Kathleen Ben-Shoaff, or 561-852-5031.

Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE)

Minimum commitment of  20 times your Lion of Judah level gift to the annual campaign, or a minimum of  $100,000 to the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation.

Roar far into the future and keep the Jewish flame burning brightly for generations to come through a Lion of Judah Endowment. As a symbolic act of acknowledgement, a flame is added to the Lion pins of those who make this commitment to be a Forever Lion. Each year these women come together to celebrate the commitment they have made and recognize and lovely remember the women who are no longer with us. Women whose Lion legacy funds total $200,000 or more, or who have made Lion of Judah Endowments in two communities, are part of the renowned national Star of David Society.
