On Thursday, November 27, at The Eagles Center on the Richard and Carol Siemens Jewish Campus, Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (Rales JFS) and the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County (JFSPBC) hosted the beloved Annual Thanksgiving Banquet, welcoming more than 600 seniors and adults with disabilities for a traditional holiday celebration.

For many attendees, this event is more than a meal; it is a lifeline of socialization and community. These are individuals who might otherwise have nowhere to go on Thanksgiving. The banquet provides a warm, festive environment where guests can connect, share stories, and feel the joy of belonging.

Guests were greeted by volunteers and escorted into the beautifully decorated center. Over 200 volunteers served and mingled with guests, creating an atmosphere of care and celebration. The menu featured freshly carved turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, apple and pumpkin pie. Each guest also received a grocery gift card, ensuring support beyond the holiday.

This cherished tradition has been underwritten for many years by Etta and Raymond Zimmerman, whose generosity ensures that hundreds of community members can experience the warmth of Thanksgiving.

“This event is about more than food—it’s about dignity, connection, and joy,” said Danielle Hartman, President & CEO of Rales JFS. “For many of our guests, this is the highlight of their year. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers and donors who make this possible.”
