Last week, the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County proudly hosted a Municipal Candidate Forum, led by Brandey Edelson, Vice President of Public Affairs, creating an important space for civic dialogue ahead of the March 10 local elections. The forum brought together candidates and community members for a meaningful exchange focused on the issues that matter most to Jewish residents across Boca Raton and Delray Beach.
In addition to sharing their perspectives and priorities, each candidate responded to two thoughtful questions centered on antisemitism and community leadership. Candidates were asked how they would demonstrate leadership in the event of a local antisemitic incident, including issuing public condemnation and directing appropriate city resources. They were also asked how they would confront hate while actively building bridges to strengthen unity across the broader community.
The responses reflected a shared recognition of the importance of standing firmly against antisemitism while fostering connection, understanding, and safety for all residents. We are grateful to each candidate who participated and engaged directly with our community.
