Two years ago, our community and the entire Jewish world were forever changed. Since that dark October morning, we have lived with the weight of loss, the fear for our brothers and sisters held in captivity, and the ongoing challenge of defending truth and dignity for the Jewish people.
Today, that long chapter comes to a close. The return of the hostages marks the end of one of the most painful periods in modern Jewish history. We share in the relief of the families who can finally embrace their loved ones, and we honor the courage of those who endured captivity with strength beyond measure.
As we move forward, we also remember those who did not return. Their memory will continue to inspire our collective commitment to the safety, security, and unity of the Jewish people, here in South Palm Beach County, in Israel, and around the world.
On October 16, our Federation will host a community-wide commemoration webinar to honor the victims, celebrate the hostages’ safe return, and reflect on the resilience and unity that have sustained us through these two years.
May Simchat Torah bring joy, renewal, and strength to our entire community.
With deep gratitude,
