Boca Raton, FL — At a time when the safety and well-being of our community must remain a top priority, the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County was proud to convene those who stand on the front lines of that responsibility every day.
The Federation recently hosted a Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Appreciation Lunch, bringing together more than 100 dedicated professionals, including law enforcement officers, emergency responders, community leaders, and agency partners. This gathering was more than a gesture of gratitude. It reflected a shared commitment to ensuring that the community remains safe, prepared, and resilient.
As a convener and community leader, the Federation brings together the people, agencies, and leadership necessary to strengthen coordination, deepen relationships, and build trust. The partnerships represented at this event are essential to the security infrastructure that protects the community each day.
Distinguished attendees included Colonel Eric T. Coleman, Capt. David Moss, Lt. John Wink, and Lt. Jim Defago of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office; Acting Chief Elizabeth Roberts, Capt. Drew Kosova, and Sgt. Ryan Jenney of the Boca Raton Police Department; Captain Chelsea Friedlander of Florida Atlantic University; Captain Michael McKeehan of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue; Assistant State Attorney Freddie Menard; and valued security partners Kevin Holland of Sunstates Security and Allan Poland of the Secure Community Network.

“We are so thankful that we get to partner with the Jewish Federation to help keep the Jewish community safe,” said Assistant State Attorney Freddie Menard.
Federation agency leadership was also in attendance, including Helena Levine from Donna Klein, Marty Haber of the JCC, Danielle Hartman of JFS, Jeffrey Zirulnick of JARC, and Rachel Blumberg of Sinai Residences. Their leadership helps ensure that safety is integrated across all aspects of the community.
Recognizing that many first responders could not leave their posts to attend, the Federation also delivered meals directly to those on duty, ensuring appreciation reached those actively serving in the field.
This gathering served as a reminder that community safety is a shared responsibility. Through strong partnerships, ongoing coordination, and a collective commitment, the Federation and its partners continue to build a safer future together.
The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County remains grateful for those who protect and serve and is proud to stand alongside them in this vital work.
