More than 350 guests gathered at Patch Reef Park on Sunday, May 4, 2025, to Celebrate Israel, hosted by PJ Library® in South Palm Beach County and the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. The afternoon transformed the park into a vibrant celebration of Israeli culture, community, and family fun.
Families enjoyed a dynamic lineup of entertainment and activities, including bounce houses, magicians, face painting, hands-on crafts, mitzvah projects, and food trucks serving local favorites. Israeli music filled the air as children and parents engaged in immersive experiences led by the Federation’s Shinshinim—young Israeli emissaries who brought Israel to life through games, storytelling, and cultural exploration.
“This event is so meaningful because it creates space for families to connect to Israel, to each other, and to the joy of being part of a vibrant Jewish community,” said Elana Ostroff, Director of PJ Library and Family Engagement. “Seeing hundreds of children laughing, dancing, and proudly engaging in Israeli culture was a beautiful reminder of how powerful and joyful Jewish life can be.”
PJ Library is a program that provides free Jewish books and community-based experiences for families with young children. The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is proud to support PJ Library and programs like Celebrate Israel, which foster strong Jewish identity and connection from an early age.
This memorable afternoon was made possible through the generous support of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, The Judi & Allan Schuman Center for Israel Engagement, a grant from the Jewish Women’s Foundation, and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
