Over 1,000 children, parents, and grandparents came together to celebrate Chanukah at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s signature community event, Light Up the Fourth Night of Chanukah presented by PJ Library®. The celebration brought families together at Boca Center for an evening centered on Jewish tradition, connection, and joy, proudly celebrating Jewish life across Jewish Boca. 

Families participated in Chanukah-themed activities, music, and interactive experiences designed to engage children and adults alike. In a powerful moment of unity, community rabbis from across South Palm Beach County came together to light the menorah, symbolizing shared values and connection across our vibrant Jewish community. The event provided a welcoming space for families to celebrate openly while strengthening ties within the local Jewish community. The evening also featured a high-energy performance by the Rock’n Roll Rabbi, David Paskin, whose music brought families together in song and celebration. 

“This event showed the incredible impact of bringing families together around Jewish tradition and joy,” said Elana Ostroff, Senior Director of Family Engagement. “The energy, warmth, and pride were truly unforgettable.” 

PJ Library® provides free Jewish children’s books to families and serves as a gateway to meaningful Jewish experiences. Community events such as this Chanukah celebration extend that mission by creating opportunities for families to connect beyond the page and build lasting relationships. 

The Chanukah celebration reflects the Federation’s ongoing commitment to engaging families, strengthening Jewish identity, and fostering vibrant community life throughout South Palm Beach County.
