Joy arrived on doorsteps, thanks, in part, to your generosity.

In preparation for the High Holidays, more than 50 volunteer teams from Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) in Boca Raton, helped their neighbors prepare to celebrate by delivering traditional festive meals.

Challah, apples and honey were provided to clients of JFS’ Jacobson Family Food Pantry, who reside in the Boca Raton and Delray areas. Each volunteer team delivered packages containing several meals (for two days of Rosh Hashanah and one for before Yom Kippur) to more than 250 households. Our partner agency, JARC Florida, prepared the meals delivered by volunteers.

Because of volunteer and client safety, the socialization aspect of the experience — when volunteers spend time with clients during the delivery — had to be postponed. Instead, meals were placed outside of the clients’ homes.

Thank you for helping JFS and JARC, partner agencies of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, spread joy during this special time of year.
