The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County has rolled out the welcome mat for singles and couples 30-49 years, creating 3049, an inclusive, community-based space that will enable them to connect with their peers to socialize, learn, lead, volunteer and more. Members of 3049 will create a community within a community where they can build relationships and make an impact.

The exciting new cohort was brought to life in response to an influx of people moving to the area, and the voiced need of established residents among this demographic, to come together after two years apart. 3049 is designed to provide opportunities for men and women in their 30s and 40s to experience what the Jewish community of South Palm Beach County can offer – and discover what they can offer the community. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Rachel Schrager and Benji Gene are co-chairs of 3049.

“I am so excited to be involved in 3049,” said Schrager. “It is such a unique opportunity to meet like-minded individuals. This group is designed to help foster relationships, make connections, friendships and join together to better our local and larger community.”

“Now more than ever, building a strong Jewish community is paramount,” said Gene. “3049 was born out of the need to facilitate building a strong Jewish community for those who have lived in South Palm Beach County for years, and those who have just arrived. Meeting new cohorts and developing strong personal and communal connections can be difficult with family and career schedules. 3049 is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to meet new people while strengthening our Jewish community.”

The first event for 3049 will be a “Mimosas and Mingle” Sunday Brunch on Sunday, May 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Place Downtown Boca, 100 E. Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. Dietary laws will be observed, and complimentary parking will be provided. The couvert is $54 per person.

After the kick-off event, it is likely that 3049 members will go from thinking of each other as peers to collaborators and friends.
