Center for Jewish Engagement
The Deborah and Larry D. Silver Center for Jewish Engagement (CJE) at The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County serves as a gateway for every Jew to find Jewish experiences that are meaningful to them in our community of more than 130,000 Jewish people.
The Center is dedicated to reaching farther and wider into the community to connect more and more Jewish residents to Jewish life and each other, and to provide a model of creating Jewish Unity for other communities far and wide. With creativity and engagement from all local Jewish sectors, ever more people and groups are coming together on behalf of the community and the Jewish people, and experiencing the joy and strength of belonging to one Jewish family.
CJE creates partnerships with Jewish programs and organizations throughout the community.
- One project, Jewish CommUNITY in Action, aims to inspire and engage every one of those 130,000 people with Jewish experiences that are meaningful to them; to create and maintain partnerships among Jewish leaders, programs and organizations on behalf of the community and the Jewish people; and to serve as a Jewish community gateway.
- The Night of Inspiration recently brought together about 200 people representing about 70+ agencies, synagogues, schools, businesses and groups. This program was established to foster unity within Jewish communities through peer-to-peer Jewish learning programs. The program will bring together Jews of all backgrounds and facilitate new relationships built upon the spirit of friendship and respect.
- The Jewish Community Leadership Institute provides expert-led training for over 60 varied community lay leaders.
