Alan Hurst, Z”L, together with the Hurst and Berey families, helped provide transformative Jewish overnight camp and Israel experiences for hundreds of children in South Palm Beach County.

Since it was founded in late 2016, the Linda Berey Hurst Chai Fund has transformed the way the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation is able to respond to the needs of families looking for assistance for camp and Israel experiences.

Alan was a leader in helping push us to implement new programs and he was always a cheerleader for the fund itself.

The fund was named for Linda Berey Hurst, Z”L, who was a beloved member of our community who lived every day with passion. She had a deep commitment to Jewish life in South Palm Beach County, where she was devoted to helping the community grow and to ensuring a bright future.

Thank you for honoring Alan’s memory, continuing to honor Linda’s memory, and ensuring that Jewish children in South Palm Beach County are able to attend camp and go to Israel—experiences that have proven to change lives.
