Suzanne Hochberg wants to help women succeed. So much so that she endowed her annual gift at the Ruby Lion level and established the Suzanne Hochberg Women’s Resiliency Endowment Fund, working with the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County and the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to aid women who may be experiencing difficulties, due to circumstances beyond their control, and will provide for those who need counseling or other emergency, supportive services.
“It just made sense. There is a void that must be addressed. Many women face temporary situations in their lives, whether it be a divorce or a change in their financial situation, where they need help and support,” she said. “Maybe they need to take a class to brush up on skills to re-enter the workforce or they require support from a counselor. I want to know that there are resources to help women who are in a vulnerable state.”
Suzanne worked with the professional staff of Federation’s Campaign and Planned Giving teams to achieve her dream. She committed $1 million, which will be contributed to Federation’s Annual Campaign to help others now and to her endowment fund, which will help others in the future.
It is through the generosity, vision and dedication of donors, like Suzanne, that Federation is able to positively impact the lives of people around the world, locally and in Israel. Thanks to her, other women will thrive!
