The exciting migration of new people moving to South Florida has led to a series of changes on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus. To better accommodate the 5,000 daily visitors to our campus, Federation and its partner agencies have expanded or have exciting expansion plans in the works. We invite you to learn more about what’s new and changing on our 100-acre home:
Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center (Levis JCC)
Last year, the Levis JCC moved its executive, administrative, programming and marketing staff to space on the North side of campus, near JARC and Sinai Residences, while its Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center, Marleen Forkas Camps, Youth Programs and Mini-Camps, Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department, Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Center, and Judy Levis Krug Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival continue to operate as they always have, using the same buildings, classrooms, and outdoor facilities.
Plans for the renovation and new construction to the Levis JCC, located on the newly-named Toby & Leon Cooperman Campus, include building a courtyard stage; an adaptive playground that will be used by the Special Needs Department and camp programs; a basketball half court; a café; art walk and new gallery space; expanded indoor/outdoor ceramics studio space; a kitchen; a renovated theater; and dedicated space for PJ Library®, a program of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. These additions will enable the Levis JCC to best serve its growing community with essential, engaging, and enriching programming.
Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS)
The Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Family Resource Center opened in early 2022 to augment services currently being provided through JFS’s Disability Inclusion Services. The center created a “one-stop shop,” where all family needs can be met without the barrier of financial stress. Since opening, the Cooperman Center has served 180 clients. This summer, the center is working with 75 clients. Meeting a definite need, the center has held approximately 1,700 sessions and groups since January 2023.
Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is thrilled to welcome our community to experience and enjoy all of the engaging programs, events and offerings. Come see what we have just for you!
