An organization can be only as high-performing and forward-thinking as its leaders. So it’s no surprise that, from our Board of Directors to Division, Committee and Event Chairs, Federation’s lay (volunteer) leadership represents some of the brightest, most committed, and talented people in South Palm Beach County. Some have honed their skills with decades of experience here or in other communities, while others are new to the table. Many contribute valuable service related to their professions. But all receive the joy and satisfaction of helping our Jewish community and our people while learning and growing and getting inspired with like-minded colleagues.
Federation is also dedicated to actively developing optimal leadership for Federation as well as our community partner agencies and synagogues. Our Jewish Community Leadership Institute (JCLI) brings together cohort classes of Emerging Leaders and Newly Engaged Leaders for intensive training that includes internationally renowned experts from among other organizations, CLAL - the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership and the Shalom Hartman Institute. Committed to building the capacity of current key leadership, JCLI also makes such expert training available to lay and professional leaders of Federation and its beneficiary agencies.
In addition to filling the array of Jewish leadership roles in South Palm Beach County, our community’s lay leaders also serve on boards and in other vital roles for national and international organizations, such as Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), and our overseas beneficiary agencies the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI).
