Weinbaum Yeshiva High School to Build on Federation Campus

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is proud to announce that on December 9, 2014, our Board of Directors approved the sale of land on our north campus to Weinbaum Yeshiva High School. The WYHS Board of Trustees has approved a plan to construct a new state-of-the-art 50,000-square-foot facility.

WYHS has to date acquired donations and pledges for a considerable majority of the capital, and is conducting a Capital Campaign for the balance of funding their construction and move.

Over 17 years, we have rejoiced with WYHS as the school expanded from 41 students to nearly 300, outgrowing its current Boca Raton Synagogue location. With WYHS, our community includes what is now the largest Modern Orthodox yeshiva high school outside the New York area.

All of us look forward to this historic expansion of our community’s educational and communal opportunities. WYHS plans to begin construction early this summer and join Donna Klein Jewish Academy and Hillel Day School of Boca Raton on our campus for the 2016-17 school year. Our Federation’s fourth beneficiary day school, Torah Academy, occupies two closely linked campuses in east Boca Raton.

May we go from strength to greater strength,

Albert W. Gortz
