Pulitzer Prize-winning Investigative Journalist Jodi Kantor to Headline Lion of Judah Luncheon
Hundreds of generous, committed members of the “pride” of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County will once again gather to rededicate and celebrate, at the Lion of Judah Luncheon at The Polo Club on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Part of an international sisterhood 17,500 strong, the local Lion contingent of nearly 700 is among the largest in the country.
“We are thrilled that this year our Lions will be roaring with Jodi Kantor, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter and best-selling author,” said Diane Feldman, who is co-chairing the Luncheon with Barbara Werner. “Her work has revealed hidden truths about power, gender, technology, politics and culture, and helped spark the #MeToo movement. We are excited to follow her behind the scenes of investigative journalism.”
“Our luncheon is every season’s premier event in local women’s philanthropy,” said Barbara Werner. “As always, we look forward to hearing our powerful roar resound through our neighborhoods to around the globe, wherever we are needed. Together, with compassion, creativity, generosity and perseverance, our Lions accomplish extraordinary things that make a vital difference in countless lives.”
The Polo Club is located at 5400 Champion Boulevard, Boca Raton. Registration begins at 10:15 am, and the program will start at 11:00. The luncheon couvert is $100, with a Lion-level individual woman’s gift of $5,000 or higher to the 2019 UJA/Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County Annual Campaign required to attend. Dietary laws will be observed.
