Ready to roll up your sleeves? Register for one of the hands-on Mitzvah Day projects around the community!

Special Family friendly outdoor mitzvah projects for children of all ages with PJ Library on the Jewish Federation of SPBC Campus - 1:00pm-4:00pm

  • Special Mitzvah Projects
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Magic Shows at 1:30 and 2:30pm
  • Ice Cream Truck and so much more!

(PROJECT FULL) - Beach Clean-Up - 9:30am

  • Help steward the coastal and marine ecosystem by keeping our beautiful beaches clean
  • North Beach Clean Up across from Gumbo Limbo at 9:30am
  • Waivers and general information to follow registration for this project

  • (All participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 5 and above) 

Gleaning Project 8:30-11:30am

  • Gleaning requires volunteers who will bridge the gap between the field and the pantry to bring food to locations where persons in need can receive it. Farmers donate the produce they cannot sell to CROS Ministries. Volunteers gather the produce. Our food-distributing partners then distribute the recovered produce to local agencies with feeding programs for individuals and families with low-incomes, seniors, people with disabilities, and the homeless. The food is given away free of charge.  
  • This project will take place at a local farm (Location and directions to follow)

Liumi Delray Intentional Garden (DIG) - 10:00am-12:00pm

  • Learn how sustainability is a Jewish Value while we weed, harvest and compost in the Liumi garden
  • 10:00am-12:00pm, Limited availability

  • Outdoor music circle and crafts with young adult Friendship Circle clients
  • Limited availability. (Adults only project)

Short on time? Stop by and drop off much needed supplies or make a donation at the Bloodmobile

• Kosher for Passover non-perishable food items for the Jacobson Family Food Pantry
• Non-Perishable food items: pasta and grains, dried or canned beans, canned fish and poultry, cereal and cereal bars, nut butters (no glass bottles or containers please!) for the TLC Little Free Pantry
• Travel Size toiletry items such as shampoo, body wash and soap
• Loose change collection

In-person attendance at meetings and events carries with it an inherent risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus. The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County considers guidance from public health agencies but cannot ensure that infections will not occur. By attending the event, you acknowledge that you understand and assume the risk of contracting COVID-19, just as you could in any public setting. Regular handwashing, sanitizing, and observing social distancing are encouraged. Please do not attend or remain at the event if you are experiencing any symptoms.
