Laurence I. “Larry” Blair to Be Honored at Mitzvah Society Reception
Local estate planning professionals committed to philanthropic giving, the community and the Jewish future will once again honor their own at the Irving Eckhardt Mitzvah Society Cocktail Reception at 5:30 p.m. on February 22, 2017. The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) of the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation (JJCF) of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, and the evening’s Co-Chairs, Matthew Kutcher and Robert Marton, invite colleagues, friends and others to join them at Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton for cocktails and dinner in tribute to 2017 Mitzvah Society Honoree Laurence “Larry” I. Blair.
For thirteen years, the Mitzvah Society has recognized estate professionals who have been instrumental in guiding clients to establish charitable legacies with planned gifts to the JJCF. Since its inception, more than 60 professionals have been inducted, and new members will be welcomed at the event. The JJCF develops permanent resources to assure the continuity of Jewish life, programs and services locally, in Israel and throughout the world.
A shareholder at Greenspoon Marder since 2005, and certified in Wills, Trusts & Estates Law, Larry Blair is also a highly respected leader in many areas of the Jewish community. Committed to the value of planned giving, he helps structure gifts to charities, providing benefits to both donors and the organizations. Among his many leadership positions, Blair currently chairs the JJCF’s PAC as well as, with his wife, Michele, the Federation’s “Emerging Jewish Philanthropists” cadre of younger major donors. Blair is a recipient of the Federation’s James and Marjorie Baer Outstanding Young Leadership Award. A past Chair of Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services, he and Michele also received the Rales Humanitarian of the Year Award.
“Larry’s dedication to the well-being and security of our community and our people now and in the future drives his tireless efforts to make a major difference,” said JJCF Chair Richard Steinberg. “He has facilitated his clients’ philanthropic goals while securing a brighter Jewish future for generations to come and inspiring others to do the same.”
The couvert is $75 per person for PAC members or $90 for others, and dietary laws will be observed. For additional information or to RSVP, contact Lisbeth Rock Cauff at 561.852.3188 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
