Bob Burg, Best-selling Author of The Go-Giver, to Headline Industry Icon Event
Amid premium networking, business leaders and professionals from a wide array of fields will have the opportunity to hear from acclaimed speaker and best-selling business author, Bob Burg. Known for combining humor with hard-hitting bullet points of immediately-applicable business wisdom, Burg will keynote the season’s first Lewis Katz Industry Icon Series event on Monday evening, October 29, 2018.
Networking will begin at 6:00 pm over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres (dietary laws observed), and the program will start at 6:30 pm. The couvert for the event is $36 per person. As always, the Industry Icon Event will take place in Zinman Hall at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus, at 9901 Donna Klein Blvd. in Boca Raton.
With “Influence & Success: The Go-Giver Way,” Burg will share the principles from his international bestseller, The Go-Giver, showing why those whose focus is on constantly and consistently giving value to others are the most successful in business…and in life! Recently inducted into the National Speakers Association Speaker’s Hall of Fame, he has shared the platform with everyone from business leaders, broadcast personalities and political leaders including a former U.S. President.
Burg’s books on sales, marketing and influence have together sold well over 1.5 million copies. The Go-Giver, co-authored with John David Mann, has itself sold over 800,000 copies and been translated into 21 languages. It was rated #10 on Inc. Magazine’s list of the Most Motivational Books Ever Written, and was on HubSpot’s 20 Most Highly Rated Sales Books of All Time. In addition, Bob values philanthropic giving as congruent with his personal beliefs, as well as the values of Klal Yisroel. He is truly a go-giver.
Named for a preeminent icon of industry and philanthropy, the Lewis Katz Industry Icon Series is a program of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s Business & Professional Division (B&P).
“It’s exciting to learn from those at the top of their game, and we know that Bob Burg’s experience, insights and leadership will be of high interest and great value to everyone, across B&P members' broad range of industries and professions,” said Lauren Cohen, Industry Icon Series Co-Chair. Over five years, our series has earned a strong reputation, and Bob Burg is sure to keep the bar we’ve set way up there. In addition to the huge shot of motivation our guests receive from our high-caliber presenters, they build a richer community of business contacts and forge new friendships as they learn more about Jewish philanthropy and the tremendous good that results when caring people unite for a common cause.
“The B&P Division, now co-chaired by Wendy Lipsich and Benjamin Gene, has built a diverse community of South Palm Beach County business leaders and professionals who look forward to gathering on a regular basis,” said Industry Icon Co-Chair, Jeff Shavitz. “We learn together as we make meaningful professional and personal connections through high-level networking opportunities, informative programs with industry experts and philanthropic activities. We keep redefining business networking, enabling valuable connections among a diverse group of professionals and entrepreneurs to help build their businesses – and our community.”
