Young Adults to Celebrate Hanukkah at New Blue & White Party

Young adults from throughout Palm Beach County will be celebrating Hanukkah in a new way designed just for them, at “The Blue & White Party” on Thursday, December 13, 2012. The seasonal festivities begin at 7:00 pm at The Omphoy Ocean Resort, 2842 Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach. The invitation is extended by the Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County and Next Gen of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.

“What better way to celebrate the holiday with your peers than to be surrounded by your community at a beachfront event that promises dancing, great food, and the opportunity to meet new people,” said Brooke Eisensmith, who is co-chairing the event with Jeremy Cohen and Rachel & Jeff Rudner.

“Single, married, new to or born into the community, The Blue and White Party is an opportunity to celebrate Hanukkah with amazing young people like you,” said Cohen. “Step away from the family for a bit, get out with your friends, enjoy a great night in a very classy venue.”

With a mix of tradition and today, the event will feature latkes (potato pancakes), hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and free raffle drawing. To show the holiday spirit, everyone is asked to dress in blue and white and bring an unwrapped gift for a child in need.

“Rachel and I are excited to be celebrating Hanukkah, one of our favorite holidays, at The Blue & White Party, said Jeff Rudner. “We are looking forward to reuniting with old acquaintances, as well as making new friends, and possibly starting a new tradition for young adults in Palm Beach County!”

Pre-registration is only $10 for one or $18 for two. Entry at the door will be $18. To register, or for more information, call Bailey London at 561-242-6656 or Jillian Rosen at 561-852-6084.

The Young Adult Division (YAD) and Next Gen Jewish Palm Beach provide a wide array of meaningful opportunities for young adults in their 20s to mid-40s to engage, socialize, learn, volunteer and be philanthropic. The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s YAD is generously sponsored by the Sandelman Foundation.
