60 DAYS OF IMPACT: FEDERATION RALLIES COMMUNITY TO TALLY OVER $3 MILLION!
This season, the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County launched its first-ever 60 Days of Impact, a highly-successful program that rallied the local Jewish community to give, volunteer and get engaged like never before.
The goal was to make a powerful impact by giving, volunteering and getting engaged. And the results were extraordinary. More than 2,000 members of the community responded during the two months, by contributing $3,071,558 to the 2015 UJA/Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s Annual Campaign.
“With vibrantly colored, positive imagery in ads, emails and social media, on T-shirts, buttons and wristbands, we developed 60 Days of Impact to bring excitement and raise awareness as our 2014-15 Annual Campaign continued forward,” said Betty Kane, the Federation Campaign Chair who spearheaded the initiative. “We’ve been deeply moved by the response. So many in our community truly understood how vital their help is to so many who need us.””
In addition to the dollars raised, the initiative brought hundreds of people together at a wide array of more than 40 events – where the community’s enthusiasm was unmistakably expressed in “selfies” posed in colorful 60 Days of Impact frames. And the volunteerism included more than 200 people assembling more than 20,000 kosher meal kits for those in need.”
“60 Days of Impact was also a hit on social media, where we reached thousands of new people and made many new friends and contributors,” said David Pratt, Federation Campaign Vice Chair, who led the initiative with Betty Kane.
“So many rose to answer our call,” continued Pratt. “They put their values into action to help feed the hungry, comfort seniors, protect Israel, strengthen Jewish identity worldwide and help support countless other programs and services – and they felt the deep rewards of making a difference.”
“But we’re not stopping,” said Kane. “It’s not too late to join them. We invite everyone to make a pledge as we enter the home stretch of this year’s Annual Campaign – that will close at the highest amount since 2010!”
