THE EVENT: 600+ Celebrate Community’s Impact Today and Imagine Tomorrow (February 3, 2015)
About the Event
For a third year, our Jewish community came together in all its vibrant diversity at THE EVENT to celebrate all the good we do together and get inspired to do even more. From our 40 synagogues, Federation partner agencies and schools; from longtime leaders and donors to newcomers; and from multiple generations - a crowd of more than 600 filled the rooms at Boca West Country Club with ruach on February 3.
After a packed showcase of community resources, they cried and cheered for Israeli hero Noam Gershony and they roared with popular performer Larry Miller. The program closed by kicking off the new 60 Days of Impact initiative. Posing in colorful frames, the crowd showed their pride in making an impact and invited others to join them. And younger major donors, our Emerging Jewish Philanthropists (EJP), headed to a side room for an “after party” with Miller and Gershony.
THE EVENT’s dedicated leadership team included Co-chairs Lisa & Bob Marton and Debbie & Roy Weisman, as well as Founding Chairs Debra & Larry Halperin.
Joan Garde generously underwrote Larry Miller’s appearance in memory of her husband, Joseph Garde, and THE EVENT was generously sponsored by Brown’s Interior Design, Hotwire Communications, HJ Sims, Marcus & Levine Certified Public Accounts and Suffolk. The Boca Raton Observer was Exclusive Magazine Sponsor.
