Our Community Shows the Courage to Remember (October 2013)

About the Event
A world-renowned Holocaust photo exhibit came to South Palm Beach County for the first time in October 2013. More than 1,500 people came to the Federation campus to witness, learn and commemorate in a transformed Zinman Hall. The exhibit of 40 panels was organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC). From local schoolchildren to aging survivors, Jews and gentiles, the visitors attended special programs and public viewings of The Courage to Remember exhibit throughout the week. They came away with lessons beyond history. Giving enduring meaning to the Shoah, they reflected on hatred and bigotry to this day, and the importance of fighting for justice.
