This Year’s Golden Gathering Had a Warm Chanukah Glow (December 10, 2015)

About the Event
Longtime supporters of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County were thanked and honored by the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation with a festive Chanukah party on December 10. The breakfast event included impromptu dancing, bagels, a live Klezmer band and more than a few latkes at the celebration.

Several of these “Golden Givers” of extraordinary (18+ years) commitment also shared favorite Chanukah memories. But the sweetest treat may have been the Chanukah songs presented for the crowd by preschoolers from Zale Early Childhood Center.

“Supporting the Jewish community, the State of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide through Federation gifts has been a source of pride and satisfaction for so many local residents, whose examples have motivated countless others,” said Dorothy Wizer, Golden Gathering Chair. “The Golden Gathering is an opportunity to thank them for all they have done in the past and will continue to do in the future. Together, we truly make a remarkable difference.”
