Philanthropy is Beautiful for Lions Forever

About the Event
Local Lions Forever were recently feted by the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County at the beautiful home of Betty Kane in St. Andrews Country Club. Through their Lion of Judah Endowments (LOJE), these committed women have ensured that their annual gifts will benefit the community and the Jewish people for generations to come.

The elegant morning featured jewelry designer and philanthropist Joan Hornig, welcomed 19 new LOJEs and remembered our 59 LOJEs who are no longer with us but whose Lion gifts live on. With 292 endowed Lions, our community continues to lead the country. The LOJE Committee also launched its 25th LOJE Anniversary goal of securing 25 new Lion endowments in the next 25 months.

Many thanks to Dale Filhaber, Chair, Women’s Planned Giving & Endowments, and to Marcia Beckerman and Barbara Werner, Event Co-Chairs, for leading the inspiring morning. Thanks to Greenspoon Marder, generous sponsor of the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation, and to Boca Magazine, the event’s Exclusive Magazine Sponsor.
