Lions Forever: Ultimate Thank You Celebrates 20th LOJE Anniversary

About the Event
Nearly 100 of our Federation’s most visionary, generous women enjoyed an unforgettable morning of high tea and philanthropy at St. Andrews Country Club on March 20. They are among the remarkable 270 women of our community, and the largest group of its kind in the nation, whose endowments have ensured that their Lion of Judah gifts will continue to make a difference in countless people in need locally, in Israel and overseas forever. Led by Barbara Werner, Chair of Women's Planned Giving and Endowments, they memorialized the LOJEs who have passed on, and celebrated new LOJEs to this powerful, prestigious sisterhood.

This year’s Ultimate Thank You celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the LOJE program. Guests were encouraged to bring a cherished object or photo that helped them become the Jewish woman they are today. Guest speaker Amy Hirshberg Lederman led the group through an inspirational and interactive program, My Grandmother’s Candlesticks: Passing the Flame from One Generation to Another. The women also heard from Richard Steinberg, Chair of Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation (JJCF), and Anne Jacobson, Vice Chair of FRD for JJCF.

The Lions Forever: LOJE Ultimate Thank You was generously sponsored by Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Oppenheimer, and Ivan & Co Jewelers (in-kind). For more information about the Lion of Judah Endowment program, please contact Linda Hurst at 561.852.3170 or
