Young Adults Wander to Saltwater Brewery for Happy Hour (July 24, 2014)

About the Event
A dynamic crowd of almost 100 Jewish adults in their 20s to early 40s got together for Wandering Happy Hour at Saltwater Brewery in Delray Beach. Thanks to Cameron Donisi and his crew at the Brewery, this new establishment offered a great spot for a casual, fun and festive gathering as guests tried a variety of craft brews and mingled.

Attendees got to hear from YAD Chair Bryan Drowos speak about the Israel Emergency Campaign, as well as Marli Barbarosh discussed her experiences during her recent trip to Israel including experiencing first-hand what it's like to respond to a siren and enter a bomb shelter in a matter of seconds. A particularly moving moment came when a taped video messaged by an IDF solider was shown to the crowd, with the soldier offering his personal thanks for the support Israel receives from this country, and in particular the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

Generously sponsored by the Sandelman Foundation, the Young Adult Division provides a wide array of meaningful opportunities for young adults in their 20s to early 40s to engage, socialize, learn, volunteer and be philanthropic. Upcoming events will be aplenty in the fall, with the next Happy Hour scheduled for mid-September. Be sure to “like” and follow YAD for all of their upcoming events, photos and news!
