Young Adults “Help the Hungry” with Happy Hour at Food Pantry (May 22, 2014)

About the Event
The Jacobson Family Food Pantry in Delray Beach provided an unusual YAD Happy Hour setting and an opportunity to spend an evening helping local residents in need of groceries. Young adults in their 20s to early 40s headed to the Pantry with food to donate on May 22, 2014. They toured the pantry, a project of Ruth and Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS), and learned more about their impact on our community from Emily Einhorn, YAD Social Action Chair, along with Anne and Norman Jacobson as well as Cindy Orbach Nimhauser and Lori Warner of JFS.

After preparing customized food packages for client deliveries, the young adults enjoyed drinks and snacks as they got to socialize and network. For more information about YAD activities, visit jewishboca.org/yad or contact Brian Sarran at 561.852.3165 or brians@bocafed.org.
