YAD Comedy Night Live Shows Young Adults Serious About Entertainment AND Helping (June 7, 2014)

About the Event
Nearly 200 young adults from their 20s to early 40s proved yet again that while helping the community and our global Jewish family may be serious business, getting involved with Federation’s Young Adult Division can also be highly entertaining. From the opening reception with its top shelf bar, hors d’oeuvres and other treats, through the uproarious routines of two comics, to the reluctant last call of the after party, YAD Comedy Night Live on June 7 transformed Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center into a comedy club extraordinaire.

The event’s Co-chairs, Margot Shooster and Robert Weingard, kicked the program off enthusiastically and explained why they are proud to be involved with the Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

Two comedians headed down from New York City just for the event, as Maya Klausner opened for Noah Gardenswartz. Noah offered not only his insightful comedy; he also shared how he has chosen to get involved in the Jewish community – including traveling with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) Entwine program and meeting some of the Jewish people Federation helps in places like India and Turkey.

Closer to home, YAD makes getting involved easy with great company and a variety of entertaining and enriching social, educational, volunteer, philanthropic and leadership opportunities right here in South Palm Beach County.
