March of Remembrance Unites Christian and Jewish Communities to “Never Forget” (April 27, 2014)
About the Event
Vowing, “Never again,” more than 600 South Palm Beach County members of Jewish and Christian denominations joined Holocaust survivors and their families on the eve of Yom HaShoah, April 27. They walked in solidarity from Boca Raton Christian School to Temple Beth El for a deeply moving ceremony that featured survivors, a concentration camp liberator, a March of the Living participant, Jewish and Christian clergy, and other local dignitaries.
The March of Remembrance was planned by a collaboration of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, Reveal Fellowship, Victory Church, The Flame Society, Temple Beth El, and Boca Raton Christian School to honor living survivors and pay tribute to the lives that were lost; to commit to work against anti-Semitism; and to raise awareness of the lessons to be learned by all from the Shoah.
