Our Federation Community and Parkland

From Matthew C. Levin, President & CEO and Mel Lowell, COO

Our hearts and minds, our prayers and tears are with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas community. Our own community reels with shock, with grief and with outrage at this senseless violence against our children and educators - in their school environment, where safety should be a given as young lives develop.

Our hearts break for the families of those lost in this tragedy, and we pray for healing of all those injured physically and emotionally. We know that many here have been personally touched by this tragedy and we are all affected. Please know that your Jewish community, from our rabbis and synagogues to our schools, agencies and friends, are ready to provide the support your family may need during this time and afterward. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

We take this opportunity to assure you that the security, safety and well-being of the students and all those on our campus are, as always, our Federation’s utmost priority. We are fortunate to be located where a highly skilled and constantly prepared security force is fully aware and vigilant each and every day. Our gated and secure campus is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our security undergoes continual improvements through training, personnel, technology and other equipment. We are proud of our collaborative relationships with law enforcement at all levels and work hand-in-hand with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security for optimal information and readiness.

B’Shalom,

Matthew C. Levin, President & CEO
