Howard Greenberg, Former Sun Sentinel Media Group Publisher & CEO, to Headline B&P Industry Icon Breakfast
Amid premium networking, business leaders and professionals will have a unique opportunity to hear from Howard Greenberg, former publisher & CEO, Sun Sentinel Media Group, at the third Lewis Katz Industry Icon Series event on Wednesday morning, April 5, 2017. Named for a preeminent icon of industry and philanthropy, the Lewis Katz Industry Icon Series is a program of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s Business & Professional Division (B&P).
Well over 100 local professionals have attended each of the past four seasons’ widely acclaimed Industry Icon events and they’ll gather once again in Zinman Hall on the Federation campus at 9901 Donna Klein Blvd. in Boca Raton. Breakfast (dietary laws observed) and networking will begin at 8:00 a.m., and the program will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. The couvert for the morning is $36 per person.
Howard Greenberg is the former Publisher and CEO of Sun Sentinel Company, where he worked for three decades and held several leadership positions, including Senior Vice President, General Manager, Circulation Director and Director of New Business. In 2013, during his tenure as Publisher, the Sun Sentinel was awarded its first Pulitzer Prize, the prestigious Gold Medal for public service journalism.
Greenberg also oversaw the publication’s digital expansion, the growth of the paper’s distribution and delivery across South Florida, and the launch of a Spanish language weekly, el Sentinel. Greenberg previously served as Publisher and CEO of the Orlando Sentinel and Vice President and General Manager of WSFL-TV, as well as Vice President of Circulation for the New York Daily News. He lives in Fort Lauderdale and is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee, Broward Workshop and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance CEO Council.
