Stonebridge Residents Give Back During Annual “Mitzvah Project”

About the Event
Residents of Stonebridge Country Club lined up in anticipation to give back to those in need.

Meeting at 9:00 a.m. at the Stonebridge Card Room, everyone was ready to assemble festive food packages, complete with roast chicken, fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods and more. Grandchildren pitched in as well to give those in need some holiday cheer.

Jeff Newman and Floris Leipzig welcomed and addressed the group, while Shari Waknin and Diane Braloff of JFS shared a personal story that brought home just how meaningful the contributions made by Stonebridge residents are during the holiday season.

After the packages were assembled, it was time to deliver, making Hanukkah a little brighter for those in need.

Floris and Murray Leipzig and Sharon Gene coordinated this year’s Stonebridge Mitzvah Event, working with dedicated committee members Arlene Ackerman, Danielle Cohen and Nanci Goldman. The Leipzigs and their wonderful children and grandchildren were in charge of operations. As always, the project provided volunteers with deep satisfaction knowing they’d made a difference.
