Estate Professionals to Honor Michael J. Shapiro at Irving Eckhardt Mitzvah Society Reception

Local estate planning professionals committed to philanthropic giving and the future of the Jewish community will once again honor their own. This year’s Irving Eckhardt Mitzvah Society Cocktail Reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. on February 20, 2018. The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) of the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation (JJCF) of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, and the evening’s Co-Chairs, Laurence I. Blair, Esq. and Jonathan Bloom, Esq., invite colleagues, friends and others to join them at Waterstone Resort & Marina in Boca Raton for cocktails and dinner in tribute to 2018 Mitzvah Society Honoree Michael J. Shapiro.

For fourteen years, the Mitzvah Society has recognized estate professionals who have been instrumental in guiding clients to establish charitable legacies with planned gifts to the JJCF. Since its inception, more than 75 professionals have been inducted, and new members will be welcomed at the event. The JJCF develops permanent resources to assure the continuity of Jewish life, programs and services locally, in Israel and throughout the world.

Michael Shapiro is an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley, where he has practiced for 20 years, focusing on financial planning for high net worth individuals and corporate executives. He was previously a practicing attorney and accountant.
