Historic US/Israel Military Aid Agreement Hailed by Jewish Community Relations Council of South Palm Beach County Leaders

We at the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County join supporters of Israel worldwide, in hailing the unprecedented defense aid package just signed. Strengthening what U.S. and Israel officials called the “unbreakable bond” between the two nations at the State Department signing ceremony, the $38 billion, ten-year agreement constitutes the largest aid package to any country in American history.

As our homeland, Israel, faces continual threats to its safety, the new agreement will provide America’s greatest ally in the region with resources to defend her state and her people with a necessary military edge. It builds on the longstanding strategic bond between our countries, with many decades and billions of dollars in vital U.S. defense aid to Israel. Under this new agreement, Israel can acquire the next generation of fighter jets, anti-missile technology, and tunnel detection advancements.

We join supporters of Israel throughout our community in gratitude to both nations for their efforts in achieving this historic agreement.
